About Writ
Writ started as a frustration. I was building a freelance portfolio and wanted to add a few client testimonials. Every tool I found was either too expensive, too complex, or made my clients sign up for an account just to type a paragraph. So I built the simple version.
Send your happy client a link. They write a few sentences about working with you. You read it, click approve, and it shows up on your website — styled, responsive, and live in seconds.
That's it. No monthly planning calls. No “integration partner” tiers. No enterprise sales process. Just a tool that does what it says.
Writ is built for freelancers, consultants, and small studios — people who are good at what they do and want their website to reflect that, without spending a week on tooling.
What we believe
Every feature we skip is a thing you don't have to learn. Writ does one thing — helps you collect and show testimonials — and tries to do it without getting in the way.
Most tools make your client sign up just to leave a review. We think that's backwards. Your client gets a link, fills in a form, done. No passwords, no friction.
Nothing goes on your website without your sign-off. Every submission sits in a pending queue until you approve it. One click to publish, one click to reject.
Squarespace, Webflow, WordPress, plain HTML — it doesn't matter. One script tag is all it takes. No plugins, no theme compatibility nightmares.
Free to start. No credit card. Takes about five minutes.
